My cousin has chosen Cuba for her wedding which will be November 27th! We are going to Sirenas La Salina Nov 22nd - 29th!
Doreen, my aunts and her friend Cathy have a great rate for our group if you would like to join us?
A few questions about this resort please for those that have been there or are going soon:
Does anyone have a map of the resort with the bungalow numbers, restaurants etc?
Have you seen any of the handicap rooms? Do you know where they are located, bungalow numbers etc?
Do you know if the handicap rooms have walk in showers or if it's a standard bathtub?
How many restaurants are there? I've seen some websites advertising two buffets and five a la cartes while others say one buffet and two a la cartes so i'm confused!
Did anyone attend or see a wedding at this resort?
Did anyone go on the sunset catamaran trip to Cayo Blanco? Do you think it would be good for wedding dinner/reception?
Any information you have would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Marisa

Marisa (and Laurie)
Congratulations to Laurie for choosing Cuba as location for her dreamy wedding! C l a p p i n g
Unfortunately for our forum, we've only had a couple of happy faces (so far) sharing a resort report about Sirenis La Salina Varadero. If you/we can manage to get answers to all the great questions you posted above, it will be fabulous and a win-win for all of us here! B i g G r i n
We will sure eagerly wait to hear and read all about this exciting event for you, your cousin and your entire family & friends. It promises to be such a wonderful time!
Please keep us posted!
Cheers!

Marisa & Tom:
Please accept my sincere apologies for my delayed reply. My head was in the wrong resort and my detailed response was prepared for the Sol Meliá property in Varadero, with a similar name: Sol Serenas - Coral Resort, where I stayed one night.
I'm sure you already have read the information provided on the (click!) official website , which should answer some of your questions. I have a hunch that the basic layout will be much like my own description of Meliá Las Dunas, Cayo Santa Maria, which I likened to "a pair of eye-glasses."
So far, only two Happy Face couples have submitted Resort Reports about which can be read if you click here! Both sounds favourible and no doubt will be even moreso when Laurie's wedding takes place in November. By that time this huge resort will have been open for 16 months, so any kinks should have been ironed out by then. Meanwhile, you have benefit of lowered prices! :congratsthumsmiley:
Of course, I would love to be there to witness the whole event, but unfortunately, I have my doubts for a couple of reasons.
For sure, I can't promise at this pont, but thanks for thinking of me.
Please keep in touch and
Keep Smilin'!
